The Family YMCA
YMCA Little Youth Soccer is a 6 week introductory soccer program will focus on developing coordination and getting introduced to the basic skills & rules of soccer. Practices are two days per week from 5:30-6:30pm in the evenings in Los Alamos and White Rock. Teams of 6-8 players allow for easier coaching, and more practice time and more game time for players. Volunteer coaches, assistants, and team parents are needed. Volunteer coaches will be provided lesson plans & skills and drills ideas. Players get to keep their awesome team jerseys, sponsored by Los Alamos Children's Dentistry!

Since LA Aquatomics is renting the YMCA gym from March-May 2026, it will be required for a cleared adult volunteer to be present at all times. Adults cleared for this volunteer position will be coaching/supervising youth while the LA Aquatomics group is using the YMCA gym for dryland training.

This 6 week introductory basketball program for girls and boys will focus on developing coordination and learning the basic skills & rules of basketball. Mini-sized balls will be used as well as 6ft-8ft baskets. Practice/Games will be 2x per week in Los Alamos at the YMCA. All participants will get a jersey and a basketball to keep!
